C
C format a size of paperback generally referred to as 'trade market', the larger of two trade paperback sizes at: 135mm x 216mm (5.32" x 8.51")
Card, Card cover Cover in card, thicker than usual paperback cover.
Chapbook Originally Cheaply printed book sold by street vendors in the 18th and 19th centuries.
CIP Cataloguing-In-Publication Records in the BNB created using information supplied pre-publication by the publisher.
col coloured, includes coloured illustrations.
Colophon 1. Publisher's imprint or emblem, esp on the Title page or Copyright page.
2. Tailpiece in a manuscript or book giving the writer or printer's name, date, etc.
Copyright The exclusive right given to the creator of a creative work to reproduce the work, usually for a limited time.
Copyright page Page at the front of the book with all the publishing details, usually on the back of the title page.

Dust cover, dust jacket (dj), dust wrapper (dw) The paper wrapper placed around a book originally to protect the binding but now is a advertising medium but also part of a book's desirability.
E
eBook; Short for Electronic Book , this is a computer file that contains the entire text of a book. There are many different types of e-book files and some can be read only with a specific e-reader (Amazon's Kindle etc) while others can be read on any computer, personal digital assistant or e-reader.
Edition All the copies of the book made from a specific set of type (with the exception of minor alterations). also see Book Club edition, First Thus edition, Limited edition, New Edition edition, New impression edition, Omnibus edition, Reprint edition, Revised edition,
Endpapers (ep) The sheets of paper pasted onto the inner covers, joining the book block to the covers. One side of the sheet is pasted to the inside cover, the other is left free.

Ex libris Books that have come from a library of an individual.
