Spike's life as seen by others.
The Earliest Book
The earliest book on Spike is in fact a exhibition catalogue. In 1973 an Exhibition of Spike's work was held at the Whitechapel Art Gallery in London.
The catalogue listed 25 artworks, recordings, and manuscripts, although no manuscripts actually made it into the Exhibition. There was a list of his film, TV and stage appearances and a list of written works. In the catalogue there are five of Spike's poems and a short piece on mental health written by Spike.
